Beccy Cole Concert

With cooler weather continuing, we were in no hurry to get to town for today’s errands. Our first stop was Supercheap Autos for silicone tape and gloves to wear when refuelling the Toyota, which was our next stop.

The crowd on Peel St was noticeably larger today, with more buskers competing for an audience. We found a very helpful and friendly chemist, conveniently located opposite Deco. We were lucky to get a table with so many people out and about. We just had coffee, and Bluey clearly enjoyed his taster. Anita was focused on the program for the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Back at camp I removed the water filters for our potable water supply. We can safely drink Tamworth town water while I source replacement filters if needed. There is an electronic ioniser that may need a replacement bulb, but further research on that is required. It is in a hard to reach location in the cargo bay.

Four of us had tickets to see the Beccy Cole Concert at Wests Leagues Club. The theatre was full, and there was the inevitable long wait while tickets were checked. Amber Joy Poulton was Beccy’s opening act, and she also sang two songs with Beccy during her concert.

Beccy put on a fabulous show. She was very entertaining and put on a powerful performance. She said she will soon be recording new material, but relied on old songs and skits such as skulling a beer, and playing every musical instrument on stage. It was great to watch even though we have seen dozens of shows before. There aren’t many singers who can competently play lead and bass guitars, the fiddle and drums, while continuing to sing the lyrics of the song!
