Lunch at Ivory’s Rock

It was cold here overnight, with water in some dog bowls having ice in them. There are good toilet/shower facilities, but the camp kitchen only has one fridge, BBQs for cooking, and a few folding tables and plastic chairs. Our hosts had firewood delivered to provide warmth in the evenings.

When in Boonah, I took the precaution of buying two coffees for myself. The Merlo coffee shop served them in these dog adoption cups.

Our friends who organised this gathering made lunch for about 40 women. Several came for the day, while a few stayed in the containers converted to cabins.

One of the campers came to our van and asked for Anita, but she was after “a knitter” to help her with understanding a knitting project. Once that confusion was resolved, we met Fiona. I had a look at her project and between us worked out what she needed to do next.

Bluey spent much of the afternoon relaxing on Clare’s lap. Clare is an Irish friend of one of our long-term mates. She has previously owned toy poodles, so was happy to get canine cuddles.
